Eagle Scout Project Funding

2019 EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT FUNDING

The Rox Project S.A.V.E. Foundation and its founding partners (Marco Technologies LLC, Wells Concrete, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and BankVista) are teaming up to help support Eagle Scouts serving the Central Minnesota Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The newly formed 501(c)(3) Rox Foundation will donate $2,000 to use as a fund to help cover a portion of/or 100% of all expenses needed to complete a select number of Eagle Scout Projects in 2019.

Since 1912, the rank of Eagle Scout has represented a milestone of accomplishment — perhaps without equal — that is recognized across the country and even the world. Those who have earned the Eagle Scout status count it among life’s most treasured achievements!

CONSIDERATION/CRITERIA FOR SERVICE PROJECT FUNDING:

  • Individual must be a current Boy Scout and active in the Central Minnesota Council.

  • Must have met all preliminary requirements and qualifications to become Eagle Scout Rank as established by the Boy Scouts of America before the Scout’s 18th birthday.

  • Develop a Service Project that is helpful to a community, school or any religious institution. The Service Project must benefit an organization other than the Boy Scouts of America.

  • Examples of Service Projects that will not qualify for possible funding include fundraisers, routine labor such as mowing, snow removal, weeding lawns or projects of commercial nature for a business?

  • The Service Project proposal you select must be pre-approved by the organization benefiting from the effort, your unit leader and unit committee and or council before submitting entry.

  • Is the Service Project feasible? You'll need to show it's realistic enough for you to carry out.

  • Address safety issues to prevent injury?

  • There are no requirements for the size of an Eagle Scout Project, its lasting value, the number of hours required to complete the project or the number of people needed to assist with the project but the Scout is required to demonstrate their ability to plan, provide leadership and be very active with the project selected and through its completion if approved for funding by the Project S.A.V.E. Foundation.

TO ENTER:

  • Applicant must write an Essay describing in full your proposed Eagle Scout Project. Include photos and design (if available) with cost estimates, time to complete Service Project, its location and the impact or benefit your project will provide to your chosen organization?

HOW SERVICE PROJECTS FUNDED:
